Alms for the Poor!

What the hell does that mean? Well, it means that some kind people have suffered the unfortunate luck to have had their barn burn down. As a result a fundraiser is being held in order to help pay for Black Hawk Horses so they don't lose their business or perhaps even their home. The event will be an auction and we will be providing live music. Meet us there at 4 PM on Sunday March 1st at the Mulnomah Arts Center for a great cause and great show!

See you in Sea-Town

We'll be seeing you in Seattle on Friday the 6th for the Slave to the Metal Tour. This is a make-up show, of sorts. The production company put us in the Seattle show after the ticket quagmire surrounding the PDX show. We are slated to commence rocking at 9.PM. It will be raucous, and it will rock. Be there or be trapezoid.

Feb 7th, we are also gonna' rock the Icehouse Bar & Grill in Vancouver, WA. Regulars will be free and all others will pay a cover of $7 at the door. We'll be playing our originals as well as picking out a few covers to jam along with for fun.

And hot damn juanita! We've got another gig at The New Copper Penny here is good 'ol PDX. Show starts at 6 or 7 PM (don't you love the accuracy with which we represent?) and we'll be playing aroun 8 if we're not mistaken which we often are...

Jan 10th show canceled

Unfortunately due to circumstances not of our own making, we are unable to play tonight at the Hawthorne Theater. Basically, we didn't get our tickets to sell and had to resort to a Will-Call situation. Another band that did not let the promoter know they were playing chimed in at the last minute and had sold all their tickets. Suddenly too many bands were scheduled this evening, and since we didn't actually receive tickets we were the natural choice to cut from the show...

Although we are greatly disappointed with this unfortunate event, we are ready to rock your face off in the coming month. We have at least 2 shows tentatively set up and more on the way.

Feb 6th, we may be playing in Seattle for the Slave to Metal show there after working out details with the promoter of the show that had to cut us.

Feb 7th, we are scheduled to play at the Icehouse Bar & Grill in Vancouver, WA. Regulars will be free and all others will pay a cover of $7 at the door. We'll be playing our originals as well as picking out a few covers to jam along with for fun.

Tickets are $10 through us and can be purchased by contacting us via the e-mail on our contact page or through the messaging system on our MySpace page. A-thankyuh Sai

We rock. You already knew that. But what you may not know is a large part of our success (and our drive) comes from you, the listeners and supporters of OFF. This is illustrated through our growing web infamy… myspace.com/offormerfame has garnered almost 9000 hits and 7,500 listens! We are continuing to move up the charts on www.stereofame.com. We started in November at 2 million. We rocketed up the charts past 1000 the first week in December, and are about to break the 900 barrier. We encourage you to sign up with stereofame.com and show your support of OFF! We would like to thank each and every one of you’s badasses out there that won’t take crappy music anymore. You asked for the good stuff… you got OFF!

O.F.F. plays KUFO

For a third time now Viva La Luna has been gracious enough to drop our tunage on your ears. We're doing our best to deliver the latest rock for your enjoyment and will notify you when the next batch of prescription strength O.F.F. is available for digestion. Keep your ears tuned on Viva La Luna for more chances to hear your favorite band hit the air waves!

OFF is ON!

So hot right now; we made it onto the radio airwaves. If you missed Of Former Fame’s radio debut on KUFO’s Viva La Luna, fear not. You can download the podcast for the November 16th broadcast from KUFO’s webpage. The post should be up by the end of the week (11.21.2008), so check back and capture the memory forever. Go to Viva La Luna. Be one of the few who will one day say, ‘Hey, I have a recording of Of Former Fame when they first got onto the radio.’ Your kids will be jealous. I mean, don’t you wish you could’ve seen the Zep, the Beatles, or the Stones when they first started?

From the mouth of God to YOU!

So local bands have a difficult time getting on the radio. It didn't deserve to have us before, but we forgive them. Now that O.F.F.'s demo release is, well, released, it's time for you to call up your friendly local radio stations and request our tunage. Rock 101 KUFO and 94.7 both have copies of our music and we would like you to help us get the much desired airplay. So feel free to call up KUFO at (503) 228-4101 or 1-800-344-KUFO and/or 94.7 at (503) 733-5470 or (800) 777-0947 and request your new favorite band Of Former Fame.

Of Former Fame is working on some new music

Here's link to all our new stuff

Don't let the limits of MySpace get you down! We're working diligently on new music on the time and will get some more up soon. A VERY rough draft of "A Bitter Conclusion" is now available for download HERE. This can only be found here and is proof that we love you more than that girl we met at the store yesterday. Never Intended, After All, Pharisee, and Elemental are on the block to get you going. Over the next few months (we know, we know, it's so long...) we'll get these songs recorded and mixed properly so you can download them and get your daily prescription of O.F.F.

Of Former Fame plays Satyricon-April 26th, 2008

We've been invited to rock the Satyricon on April 26th 2008. Tickets are only $8 up front or $10 at the door. Five or six bands are playing and once again, our ticket sales determine which order we play in. The doors open at 6 PM and each band gets 1/2 hour to play. The Satyricon is an all age’s venue with an area for the drunk. I hear it's where Kurt Cobain met his "lovely" wife... So come check out a piece of history while we work our way into the history books as well!

Verus Fest was a success!

Well, mostly. Unfortunately the on stage sound was awful. Why do you care? Because we couldn't hear each other. We actually had to stop half way through the first song and politely ask the sound guy to fix it. Once that was taken care of we got back into the groove and rocked the house! What you can hear in the videos we took reflected what we thought. Not being able to hear ourselves is detrimental to singing on key. ;) We've got a solution figured out for the next gig and will be sure to avoid any embarrassing moments.

Of Former Fame plays Verus Fest-March 1st, 2008

Come check us out on March 1st when we play Verus Fest at the Hawthorne Theater in Portland Oregon. The Hawthorne Theater is an all ages venue featuring a 21 & Over area for those who wish. Doors open at 2 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Tons of local acts as well as some non-local bands will be present at the show so be sure to catch them all! Tickets are only $10 through us for BOTH days worth of music or $12 at the door. Our time slot is determined by ticket sales so PLEASE be sure and get your tickets through us!

Of Former Fame releases Demo/EP
